A Moment to Cherish

Our sunset visit to the Temple of Poseidon provided a moment that I will cherish forever.

We had just finished walking around the temple and taking photos together when I noticed that Ava was sitting at the base of the temple by herself looking out towards the setting sun.

As I sat down next to her and asked her what she was thinking, she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said, “this is amazing, I’ve read about this place in my book and now we are here, I can’t believe it. I’m just so happy.”

My sweet, sweet girl. To have that much awe and appreciation for a place and a moment at 8 years old is truly something special. She loved every second of our time at the temple and I loved seeing her light up as she soaked it all in. It was a moment I will cherish forever.
