“Signs, Signs…

…everywhere there’s signs!”

We’ve seen our share of signs along the way. Here are some of my favorite - for very different reasons.

We all loved this sign. After eating my weight in Cevapi (lamb sausages) throughout Croatia and Bosnia, I think I’ll be safe for a while!

This mine field sign (and old disabled mines) was at the Tunnel Museum in Sarajevo, providing a reminder of the horrors of war and how lucky we are to not have to worry about uncleared mine fields in the United States.

We were introduced to Fjaka on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Its origin is in the hot summer air that makes it hard to do anything. Many locals have now taken it to capture the sublime state and “sweetness of aspiring to do nothing”.
