A Moment of Gratitude Part 3

Our rooms were not ready, but our luggage is stored. We stroll around the village, the drain of a travel day experessing itself differently in each of us.

Ava sprints up a grassy hill & threatens to roll down it. She is soon joined by the twins, then Mom, then, after some wheedling, Dad. Papa and Naunie take a hard pass.

There is a call that has to happen at some point in the afternoon- the world has not lost all gravity.

But first there is a hill that needs rolling.
