caring for elephants
Soooooo…….. how are you guys doing because I just got to bathe, feed, and ride elephants which is something I would never have thought of even in my wildest dreams. But anyway we started with a like 30 minute drive to the place where we got to meet some of the elephants and another group of humans that was going to be with us. The owner of the place told us that we were going to feed and be paired with different elephants 2 people per elephant so me and Paul paired up and were led to our elephant, Aroom. He was pretty young and very nice. We fed him bananas and a couple of bamboo sticks I think but then when we had no more food he went too the forest to get more. After the lovely feeding and meeting of the elephants we decided it would be a good idea to ride them but not on any ordinary field no no we rode our elephants on a mountainside trail to a watering hole. And I think you can guess what happened there the elephants took a brake and we got to wash them!!!!!! I was so excited so I got my bathing suit on like everyone else and I got in the water with the elephants. Me and Paul found our trainer and he helped us wash Aroom correctly then came the photo’s that we all knew had to happen they turned out great I think. After the photos our guides told us to splash the elephants and we all thought we knew where this was going : we were going to splash them and then they were going to plash us, surprisingly we were all right we turned around for another picture and SPLASH!!!!! As a good person I knew that it was going to be so hard to splash all those people…….. so I helped a little then paul tried to get me back so I covered the only shirt he had with water it may sound a little cruel but tis what happens when you challenge your sister. We were all tired after that but it as the end of the day we were leaving anyway we said goodbye to the other family that was with us and we got in our van and went home.
